Daily routine of a 7 month old baby and tips on how to make a routine.

My son is 7 months and growing up so fast. He is finally loving to eat puréed foods, and he is very active so his schedule has gotten fuller. We have created a routine for him that is not completely set but we try to keep it consistent as best as we can. We put him to bed at 10pm, sometimes a little later but not past 10:30 pm and he wakes up around 7:45-8 am. He does not eat in the middle of the night (yay more sleep for us! 😬) After his first feeding he likes to go back to sleep, I guess he is not a morning person lol He came out like his mommy 😛 I’m no longer breastfeeding him..but I am still pumping twice a day ( morning and night time) So far, his routine goes like this: 7:45 am: first feeding and goes back to sleep until 10:45 ish 10:45 or 11 am: cereal for breakfast and second bottle 🥣 🍼 12 pm: playtime 🧸 1 pm: nap time until 2:30ish 😴 3 pm: lunch (vegetables) and third bottle 🥕🍼 3:45 pm: playtime 🧸  5 pm: nap time until 7 ish 😴  7 or 7:30 pm: bot...

I gave birth in the middle of a pandemic

My due date was actually on my birthday, in May...but as with almost all pregnancy due dates, it rarely happens on that exact date.... Instead I was induced and gave birth on the day that would have been my baby shower, and in the middle of a pandemic. That same week, my husband was not feeling well, he had a strong headache, a mild fever, and a slight cough but no breathing problems thank goodness. He went to the ER to see if they would test him because he suspected it might be COVID. He wanted to get tested mostly because of me, since I was about 8 months pregnant.  Unfortunately, they did not test him because back then, they would not test you unless you were not able to breathe or you had an extremely high fever, because of the lack of tes...

About Me

Hello Blogging World! I know it sounds cliche but I love saying it (or in this case writing it lol)😊 My name is Dennise and I live in New York with my wonderful husband. We’ve been married for 3 years and a half, and together for almost 8 years. We are first time parents to a beautiful baby boy, he is going to be 7 months soon. I love my son infinitely, but  I can’t deny that being a parent is a tough job. Juggling between taking care of baby and maintaining the house, it can be exhausting and overwhelming.  I find that writing about “mom life” is sort of therapeutic. Therefore, I want to share my thoughts and experiences and hopefully learn from other moms’ experiences as well. While it is true when people say there is no right way to parenting, at the end of the day we go through very similar situations while raising our kids...caught between tantrums, spit ups, blowouts, etc..so a little advice is always helpful and supporting. I will also post about fashion, food, a...
